He was not even 24 when he was been appointed Financial Director for Annecy's pubic hospital. Jean-Claude stayed 3 years before crossing the Swiss border for the same position at the Hospital de la Tour. He gained a leadership within the international hospital management community with his Doctorate thesis in Business administration and his speeches delivered in Europe and the US. He also obtained a Diplôme(s) dEtudes Approndies (D.E.A.) (Bac +5) in Information Systems and was major for the DEA in strategy. In 1984 he joined the European marketing department of DIGITAL Intl. in Geneva. He conducted a first market survey on Internet in 1987. He was, at that time, a member of the American Association for the Artificial Intelligence and the International Neural Network Society. After many years as International Marketing Manager, Jean-Claude left DIGITAL at the end of 1994 with the title of International Planing Manager in charge of the implementation of the Entrepreneur model. From March 1995 to May 1998, he was CEO of Cours Commerciaux de Genève, one of the largest institutions for permanent education in Switzerland with 445 teachers and more than 500'000 student/hours per year. He coached the CCG team like a sport team running for a competition. His management vision is based on the development of the leadership behavior at all levels of the organization. Jean-Claude's management paradigm is to create the conditions for a learning organization, to empower and encourage everybody, to take initiatives and to be creative. Awarded "Manager Réseaux et Télécoms" (Prix spécial du Jury) in 1994 for his sales strategy for a network of resorts he is an addict, but lucid advocate of the use of the new technologies. Jean-Claude Morand is the author of CYBERSTRAT a book published in France and in Switzerland where he introduced the CYBERSTRATEGY as a management concept between marketing and information systems. He gives frequent speeches on this subject and teaches CYBERMARKETING at the University of Savoie. In March 1999, he published a first survey "Le marketing 1to1 et Internet" then "Le Tourisme Français sur l'Internet: Guide pratique du tourisme réceptif". In 2005, he authored a book "RSS, Blogs: A new management tool" published by M2 Editions. Ex-member of ISOC board of Geneva, he was Vice-President of the Swiss Marketing Association Geneva. He joined STMicroelectronics in May 99 as Corporate e-Business Program Manager and then e-Marketing Manager and contributes to XML definition consortia such as ROSETTANET. In this context he was chairing a group of e-Commerce experts for the European Semiconductor Industry Association. Thanks to his work and contribution ST extranet has been awarded "Best B2B collaborative portal" in Milan in Octobre 2001 (24ORE/Arthur Andersen). |
